(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated that there is doubt whether the Palestinian Authority (PA) can carry out understandings with Israel because "they have no stable democracy and there is uncertainty about the government and their institutions." He added that the "understandings" will be far reaching but not to the extent to cause political explosions.

He continued to state that negotiations with the PA will be according to the Roadmap despite the apparent burying of the condition that temporary borders be drawn up for a new Arab state. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has insisted that negotiations move directly to final borders for the proposed country in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.

"We will not push him [Abbas] toward any declarations that will be good at noon and cause us to lose everything by evening," the Prime added.
