Israel’s Ministry of Communications is issuing new directives requiring phone companies to standardize bills in order to allow customers to better decipher the cost of each call.

The new standardized bills will include data on average minutes used and average per-minute price of each call.

Shas Minister Ariel Attias says the changes will end deceptive practices by phone companies, who use promotions to distract customers from hikes in standard per-minute pricing.
