Several incidents in the past two weeks which Arab mobs nearly lynched Jewish Israelis who accidentally entered Palestinian Authority areas came to the forefront when an IDF major lost his way this week and ended up in Jenin by mistake. The officer now faces a disciplinary hearing and possible court-martial for his error, which almost cost him his life at the hands of Islamic Jihad terrorists.
In another incident, PA police evacuated a family from Jericho who got lost Monday on their way to Tiberias. The family was surrounded by a mob and severely beaten.
In two incidents last week, security guards at a construction site in an area south of Jerusalem were mobbed in Bethlehem barely escaping certain injury and possibly death when PA police arrived on the scene. A vicious mob in Halhul also surrounded two Israeli buses that accidentally ended up in the PA town, located next to Hevron.
Media largely ignored the deadly incidents in which PA Arabs attacked and tried to kill those Israelis who accidentally entered PA-controlled areas and who were extricated by PA police.
