An IDF officer took a wrong turn and found himself in Jenin Monday morning. He passed a Palestinian Authority (PA) checkpoint, where security officers assumed that an officer with the rank of major knew what he was doing.
After it was apparent that the officer took a wrong turn, the PA ordered security officials in the city, known as the terror capital of Israel, to locate the officer's vehicle and escort him safely out of the city.
The incident sparked a gunbattle between Palestinian Authority security forces and the militants. The soldier's car was torched and destroyed.
