Critics have expressed doubt on a claim by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that the government has carried out all the recommendations made by the Winograd Committee less than five months ago. The panel investigated the management of the Second Lebanon War by the IDF and the government and pointed out several weeks deficiencies that should be corrected.
Among other suggestions made by the panel, the government is to establish a new national crisis center within the office of the Prime Minister.
Former IDF intelligence chief Brig.-Gen. Aharon Ze'evi Farkash said he doubted that the government could have carried out all of the recommendations in a relatively short period of time.
