Wall Fails to Stop Terror Attack

The enormous wall being built around Judea and Samaria at a cost of billions of dollars is coming under renewed scrutiny in light of the security incident on Saturday. Three Arab terrorists managed to climb over the wall separating the Gaza Strip from the rest of Israel and approach the Jewish community of Netiv Ha’asara. Before they could cause any harm they were apprehended by a Golani Brigade unit and eliminated.

The latest incident is not the first time the wall has been easily bypassed to commit a terror attack. Writing in the Makor Rishon newspaper ,veteran journalist Haggi Huberman says the failure of the wall to prevent the attack demonstrates its lack of strategic value.
