Dozens of activists were expelled from the ruins of the former Jewish community of Homesh on Sunday after they erected tents on the site.

IDF soldiers removed the activists and army sources said their tents would be destroyed. One man at the northern Samaria site was held for questioning.

A teenage girl arrested while participating in a march to Homesh was released on a court order Sunday after spending more than a month in jail. The Kfar Saba Youth Court ruled Friday that hiking to Homesh is not a crime. The court ruling also said that the laws which were originally written to enable the expulsion of Jews from their communities during the 2005 Disengagement are no longer applicable and cannot be used to prevent people from returning to the ruins of the communities.
