Education Minister Yuli Tamir said Thursday that her ministry would consider evacuating Sderot students to schools in other areas should the need arise. Arab terrorists have recently stepped up their attacks on the Jewish town which has been the target of more than 20 rockets and mortars in the past two days alone.
In spite of government promises, Tamir admitted that that it would take over a year to reinforce all the schools in Sderot against rocket attacks. The school year is scheduled to begin on September 2.
