Hamas has regained popularity among Palestinian Authority (PA) voters and its leader, deposed Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, would almost tie Fatah leader and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas if elections were held today. Abbas already has stated he will not run for re-election.

Jailed arch-terrorist Marwan Barghouti is running a close third. The poll was conducted by the Jerusalem Media and Communications Center.
