Israel's Sabra Salads is setting up a joint business with Nihad Alhad Hummus of Jordan and will open a restaurant in Jaffa, Globes reported. The new firm also is launching two new products.

"Hummus originated in Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan," said Sabra Salads general manager David Manevich. "They devised the ingredients of hummus 300-400 years ago. For years, we have been trying to find Arab hummus recipes and bring them to Israel."
