Israeli media, which have turned the prospect of Syrian-Israeli war into a daily yes-no-maybe topic for several weeks, quoted ministers Sunday who said at the weekly Cabinet meeting that they should not talk so much.
However, several ministers issued the call for silence while again making statements that neither Israel nor Syria has any intention of attacking each other. Local Hebrew newspapers brought the prospect of war to the headlines in May, when the IDF conducted intense training of troops in the face of a serious build-up of Syrian fortifications and weapons near the border with Israel.
