The attacks began at a Melbourne restaurant, where two white males shouted "White pride," punched a student visiting from Israel and then took a chair from the restaurant and smashed a window. The attackers escaped, police arrived to file a report and left the scene, and less than hour later the attackers returned to the area with bats. They attacked a yeshiva student, who was hospitalized for bruises and possible bone damage in his arms and right shoulder.
