Justice Minister Chaim Ramon will be indicted and stand trial on charges of committing an indecent act without consent, Attorney General Menachem Mazuz said. Ramon is suspected of forcing a female soldier to kiss him on her last day of work. He denies it and his aides insinuated that the soldier had a romantic interest in Ramon.

--A suspect in the plot to blow up several American-bound flights from Britain has told investigators that the plan was approved by Al Qaeda terrorist leaders. The terrorist cell planned to bring liquid explosives aboard several planes and explode them in mid-air.

--Two Lebanese shepherds crossed the Israeli border to the Sheba Farms area, claimed by Lebanon, almost setting upsetting the tenuous cease fire between Hizbullah terrorists and the IDF. Previous herding of sheep, often down to camouflage Hizbullah infiltrations, has resulted in Israeli retaliation.

--The Haaretz newspaper, known for its left-wing editorial slant, has had 25% of its stake purchased by the German DuMont Schauberg Group that was headed by a decorated member of the Nazi party during the Holocaust.
