The Minister for Strategic Affairs, Avigdor Lieberman, met with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in Baku on Thursday. Lieberman's visit takes place six days before Iranian President Ahmadinejad is due to arrive in Azerbaijan, and is seen as having strategic significance.
Lieberman and Aliyev reportedly agreed to cooperate on anti-terror activities and on the creation of a committee to review cooperation between the two countries.
