General Motors Plans R & D Center in Israel

General Motors is close to finalizing negotiations with the government to establish a research and development center in Israel that will employ dozens of engineers and researchers, Globes reported. The proposed center probably will be built in Ra'anana and will focus on robotics, alternative driving systems and safety.

Sixteen Israeli companies supply GM with goods and services and almost all of them have racked up more than one million in sales to the giant carmaker.
