Soldiers have discovered a suicide belt of explosives in a continuing counter-terrorist operation in central Gaza near the site of demolished Gush Katif communities. The IDF has arrested approximately 100 suspected terrorists while killing four and wounding 15 others who attacked them.
The return to central Gaza comes exactly two years after the government and military officers vowed that Israel never again would enter the area following the expulsion of Jewish residents and the surrender of the land to the Palestinian Authority (PA).
