Police cleared traffic and passersby from the vicinity of a Bat-Yam shopping center Sunday after finding an explosive device there, but ruled out the possibility of a terror operation a short while later.
A bomb squad that was called in determined that the explosive had been stashed away by criminals for use at a later date and that it was not intended to go off in the location where it was found.
