Hundreds of Rabbis Label Olmert 'Hostile to Judaism'

A coalition of 350 rabbis have labeled Prime Minister Ehud Olmert as "anti-Jewish" and "hostile to Judaism" following orders to act against two synagogues and a Chabad mobile unit. Security forces last week tore down a synagogue built near Joseph's Tomb, stating it was illegal, and also demolished the synagogue being used by two Hevron families who were, themselves, forcefully expelled.

Orders also have been given to expel another four Hevron families, including a Chabad rabbi who operates a temporary mobile unit in Hevron.

Olmert's actions are "anti-Jewish and hostile to Judaism in spite of the fact that he speaks Hebrew and dwells in the Land of the Patriarchs," according to a statement by the Rabbinical Congress for Peace and reported by WorldNetDaily.
