Prominent Palestinian Authority (PA) businessmen, including one billionaire, met in Ramallah to discuss the possibility of forming a new political party. They said that the general public is fed up with both the Hamas and Fatah factions.

The group is acting as a lobby and not as a party until it receives wider support, organizers stated. A major plank in the proposed party platform is the political unification of the Gaza region with Judea and Samaria. However, the businessmen said they want to focus on the economy and culture and not on politics.
