The Tel Aviv Lightning edged out the Modi'in Miracle Friday 3-2 thanks to two solo home runs. The Beit Shemesh Blue Sox held on to a solid first-place lead by downing the Ra'anana Express 13-9. The Blue Sox capitalized on seven Express errors.
In the third game, a heated argument in the first inning of the first game of a doubleheader abruptly ended the first contest between the Petach Tikva Pioneers and the Netanya Tigers with a forfeited victory. The Pioneers had refused to leave the field after batter Ryan Crotin was ejected for arguing a called strike. In the second game, the Tigers won 6-2.
On Sunday, the Miracles and the Lightning play at Gezer Field and the Blue Sox and Pioneers will face each other at Sportek at 5 p.m. One hour later, the Tigers take on the Express at Yarkion Field.
