The government is set to approve on Sunday the 2008 state budget, despite a threat by Labor ministers to vote against it, because of a proposed one-year delay in the raising of the minimum wage. According to the original coalition agreement with Labor, the minimum wage is supposed to be $1000 a month by the end of 2008.

MK Shelly Yechomovich is demanding that the discussion be delayed, and threatened to petition the High Court over the issue.
