Major anti-PA Rally Held in Ramallah
A radical Islamic group, called the Liberation Party, held a mass rally Saturday in Ramallah, in which heads of the Palestinian Authority, including PA chief Mahmoud Abbas, were “traitors to Islam” for “collaborating” with Israel. "The employees in the Palestinian Authority are supposed to be Muslims. How can they stand with the infidels fighting their religion and their nation,” a flyer distributed to the crowd asked rhetorically.
PA officials said they would not interfere with the group as long as it remained non-violent, but sources said the PA was worried that a radical Islamist rally could draw a crowd of 10,000 in Ramallah.
