Budget Threatens To Breaks Up Coalition

(IsraelNN.com) Shas and Labor Knesset Members have voiced strong objections to the proposed 2008 budget and have threatened a coalition crisis if changes are not made. Sources in Shas said members are considering voting against the government in a scheduled vote on Sunday.
Labor party members have said they will not agree to a government proposal to delay implementing a hike in the minimum wage, which was a crucial factor in coalition negotiations before the formation of the current government.
