Two MKs who competed in Labor's primaries, Ofir Paz-Pines and Ami Ayalon, received more exposure in Israel's electronic media than any of their colleagues during the parliament's summer session. According to a study by Yifat Advanced Media Research, Pines and Ayalon were seen and/or heard 91 times and 79 times respectively over the last three months.
Binyamin Netanyahu is at number three on the exposure list, with 77 appearances.
The survey shows that right-wing MKs have a serious problem getting their faces onto the TV screens. 12 of the top 20 MKs in the exposure list were from Kadima leftwards. Seven are from the Likud and one, Zevulun Orlev, is from the NRP, but none are from the National Union or Yisrael Beiteinu factions. Three far-left Knesset Members, Yossi Beilin, Shelly Yachimovich and Zehava Galon, are numbers 7, 11 and 12 respectively.
