Absorption Minister Yaakov Edri (Kadima) arrived at the protest on behalf of Adgo Salehu Monday at noon and agreed to meet with the Jewish immigrant from Ethiopia, who has been protesting for two years the confiscation of his caravan following a debt of a few thousand shekels.
Friends and family that had attended the protest attributed the minister's concern to the steady escalation of protest measures, which involved entering the street and then attempting to enter the grounds of the Absoption Ministry compound.
Salehu is demanding the return of his caravan home in the Givat HaMatos neighborhood of Jerusalem.
