MK Tzvi Hendel (National Union) stated on Army Radio Monday morning, “I respect every soldier who thinks before carrying out orders. Soldiers are not political pawns, and the order to expel Jew from the Hebron marketplace is purely a provocation.”

Hendel continued, “Israel is not a dictatorship. The army is not prepared for war, and instead, it focuses on carrying out missions that only create divisions within Israeli society.”

“I am proud that we have soldiers who think," Hendel concluded. "We are not talking about refusal during war, but the refusal of soldiers to carry out a political operation, which is not the task of the IDF.”
