According to the Bethlehem-based Maan news agency, PFLP terrorist Talal Abu Safiya was killed in Gaza on Wednesday. Anonymous attackers shot Safiya to death outside his house in Gaza City. Safiya had been the victim of several assassination attempts, which local Arabs blamed on Israel.
A similar attack occurred on Thursday near Shechem, where anonymous attackers shot a local Arab man in his legs at least a dozen times. The man was taken to a Ramallah hospital in critical condition. The reason for the attack is unclear at this time.
