The much-touted US-backed peace conference in which Israel and Arab states will purportedly negotiate a solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict will probably take place in Washington DC in November.

The date was leaked by members of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s staff.

Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunis, Qatar and Bahrain have all been mentioned as possible participants in the conference. Presumably Jordan and Egypt, with whom Israel already has peace agreements, will attend as well.
