The Knesset's State Control Committee convened Tuesday morning to debate the State Comptroller's report on the readiness of the home front in the Second Lebanon War, but the committee's chairman was the only member who attended the session.
The chairman, MK Zevulun Orlev, was upset: "we gave notice [of the meeting] at least a week ahead of time," he said. "I am puzzled, I will talk to the committee's members, it is their duty to be here."
Minister of Public Security Avi Dichter, who attended the session, said "I am looking left and right and I can find no Knesset Members from the committee. I assume they are busy with more important things, but it is important to say this for the record."
