British Police Say Anti-Semitism a 'Hate Crime'

British police will adopte a new policy that defines anti-Semitic crimes as racist attacks, according to a government order that will take effect next year. The government also said it will monitor anti-Semitic incidents.

"Anti-Semitism has not been taken as seriously as other forms of hatred in some parts of our society," according to Iain Wright, the parliamentary under secretary of state for communities and local government.
