(IsraelNN.com) Private attorney Yoram Danziger was appointed to the Supreme Court on Monday.  Danziger was the only candidate available to the Committee for the Appointment of Judges, which met on Monday afternoon in order to appoint him.

Danziger was left one vote short of appointment during a previous vote, in which three committee members voted in his favor, four abstained, and two excused themselves due to a conflict of interests.  Attorney Chanan Meltzer, also from the private market, was appointed during the first round of voting.
