Holocaust Survivors May March on Government

Holocaust survivors are planning a different kind of "March of the Living" Monday when a Knesset panel will decide on whether to approve support payments. The march, which takes place every year in Poland, in memory of the six million Jewish victims of Nazi butchery, will be at the offices of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert if the panel does not approve the proposal.

Organizers Zev Factor and Dobie Arbel said they do not trust government promises to support the payments. "If we find ourselves this week deceived, we will have no choice other than to take the terrible step and ask Holocaust survivors and their families to stage a "March of the Living" to the Prime Minster's office," they stated.
