Tel Aviv resident, Dan Rothem was the first “native son” to be listed on the All-Stars roster for Sunday night’s Israel Baseball League All-Star Game, scheduled to be held at Yarkon Field in Petach Tikvah.
The 30-year-old pitcher for the Tel Aviv Lightning is a veteran of the Israel National Team and serves as a coach for the Lightning as well. Rothem has started five games, and has a 2-1 record with 20 strikeouts in 24 innings.
Other players listed on the All-Star roster are players who were born overseas.
