A non-commissioned IDF officer was rushed to a Haifa hospital Sunday morning after being critically injured  in a blast that rocked the seaport.

The blast, reportedly a gas explosion, occurred while repairs were being carried out on the heating and cooling system on a naval vessel. No other injuries were reported. The officer's family has been notified and the incident is under investigation.
