(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority spokesman Ibrahim Abu An-Naja told reporters at a news conference Sunday that Hamas terrorists are hunting down and arresting members of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah group in Gaza.  An-Naja was unable to give an exact figure as to how many Fatah members had been taken into custody by Hamas men.

A spokesman for Hamas, meanwhile, said the report was a lie.  Sami Abu Zuhri said Fatah’s accusation was a cover-up for its own campaign against Hamas men in Judea and Samaria, which is under the control of Fatah.

Hamas seized control of Gaza in June, driving hundreds of Fatah members out of the area.  The two terrorist groups have been fighting for control of the PA since the election of Hamas to the PA leadership in January 2006.
