Gov’t Plan to Encourage Timely Passport Renewals
(IsraelNN.com) The Interior Ministry is attempting to persuade Israelis to avoid waiting until the last minute to renew their passports.
Ministry officials said they plan to offer discounts to citizens who renew their passports in the winter months instead of waiting for the summer’s peak travel season.
A recent study by the ministry showed that Israeli travelers often wait until they arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport to renew their documents.
