Arab terrorists in Gaza who were killed in IDF counter-terrorist operations Thursday night were armed with anti-tank missiles, army spokesmen said. The missiles are part of advanced weaponry that terrorists have been stockpiling since the government ordered the destruction of Jewish communities Gaza two summers ago and gave away the area to the Palestinian Authority (PA).
The Israeli Air Force diverted one missile because of suspicion that an unarmed civilian was among a group of gunmen. Other attacks killed three Islamic Jihad terrorists and two armed gunmen.
Gaza terrorist escalated attacks on Israel this week, firing more than 20 Kassam rockets and more than 30 mortar shells, some of which landed in the Gaza region. Several people on the western Negev were treated for shock, one woman was lightly injured and property damage was extensive.
