British Medical Journal readers have overwhelmingly expressed their dissatisfaction with the British academics' union boycott against Israel. In answer to the question "Should we consider a boycott of Israeli academic institutions?", 76.4 percent of the readers responded negatively. The poll site no longer is active.

Forty-two percent of the respondents were academic researchers and medical doctors, and almost one-third were from the general public.
