Olmert Says Peres Will Be Active in Arab Peace Talks

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told reporters at a press conference taking place at this hour that President Shimon Peres will be active in trying to advance negotiations with the Palestinian Authority (PA). He spoke after he and the President met with visiting foreign ministers from Egypt and Jordan who were official delegates of the Arab League.
The Prime Minister also revealed that there will be a significant move toward negotiations in a very short time.
The issue of Egypt's failure to stop the smuggling of weapons, ammunition and terrorists into Gaza was not brought up, the leader said.
