The expected extension of the nationwide strike to Ben Gurion airport Thursday threatens two Nefesh B'Nefesh (NBN) aliyah flights scheduled to leave Monday and Tuesday from the United States and Britain.
 
The Histadrut labor union decided to delay the strike at the airport for one day following heavy public pressure and an appeal from Jewish Agency director Zev Bielski, who said shutting down the airport would prevent 600 French immigrants from arriving Wednesday morning.
