(IsraelNN.com) A Knesset committee is discussing at this hour alleged violence and threats by police during the evacuation of hundreds of people who tried to re-establish the destroyed community of Homesh Sunday. Activists at the site reported that the police had removed their identification tags and occasionally used clubs to beat activists.

Police have admitted that they confiscated a camera and the memory card of a digital camera but explained they did so to prevent interference in the evacuation.
