(IsraelNN.com) Asraf Jomma, a Fatah-affiliated member of the Palestinian Authority parliament, was beaten on Monday by unidentified gunmen.  According to one source, the gunmen burst into Jomma’s Gaza City office and beat him with the butt of a rifle.  Three of Jomma’s workers were shot and wounded.  A second source claimed that Jomma was shot and lightly wounded, while one office worker was beaten.

Journalists reported receiving a statement earlier in the day accusing Jomma of revealing the Hamas affiliation of several PA employees, leading PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s new government to deny the employees their salaries.  Hamas has denied any connection to the attack.
