Sapir College, located just outside Sderot, has decided to reduce tuition by 50% next year.  The school is funding the tuition decrease with NIS 30 million of donations. 

Sapir usually has a student body of approximately 8,000 students, but enrollment for the 2007-2008 school year dropped sharply due to continuing rocket attacks.  A recent rocket attack on the school lightly wounded one woman, and previous attacks have damaged classrooms.
