(IsraelNN.com) Public Security Minister Avi Dichter met secretly with former Palestinian Authority (PA) security director advisor Gibril Rajoub and asked him to open up a diplomatic channel with Hamas, according to the Arabic newspaper El-Bian.

Dichter reportedly told Rajoub that Hamas must be made to understand the need to establish a dialogue. The newspaper stated that Rajoub replied that Hamas will stop rocket attacks on Israel only if Jerusalem understands the importance of the terrorist movement.
