President Shimon Peres has pardoned former Likud Knesset Member Naomi Blumenthal (Kadima), who was convicted in the City Towers bribery affair in which she rented rooms for Likud party members in order to win their support in party primaries.

Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann recommended pardoning Blumenthal, allowing her to stay out of prison on condition of good behavior and public service.
