The Tel Aviv Lightning knocked the socks off the Beit Shemesh Blue Sox Sunday evening with a lopsided 10-1 victory, enabling them to retake second place and climb to one and a half games behind Beit Shemesh.
In other games, the Netanya Tigers edged Modi'in Miracle 2-1 in a pitcher's duel, with New York City native Leon Feingold throwing a three-hitter. The Petach Tikva Pioneers walked over the Ra'anana Express 14-6.
Monday's games will start early because of Tisha B'Av, which begins shortly before sundown. At noon, the Express will play against the Tigers at Gezer Field, and the Pioneers will square off against the Miracles at Yarkon Field. At 3 p.m. the Blue Sox and Lightning will play at Sportek.
No games will be played on Tuesday out of respect for the fast day of Tisha B'Av, which ends approximately one hour after sundown.
