Former Likud Education Minister Limor Livnat declared Sunday that teaching the Arab "Nakba" version of the creation of Israel will encourage Arab children to work against the Jewish state. Education Minister Yuli Tamir (Labor) has confirmed that she approved teaching to Arab children the Arab version of the establishment of Israel, which they call a "tragedy," (Nakba in Arabic).
Strategic Threats Minister Avigdor Lieberman stated that Education Minister Tamir "is expressing not only post-Zionism but also political masochism." He added, "The Israeli left always complicates itself trying to justify the other side without understanding that there is nothing to justify."
