Prison authorities have removed religious books, including the Torah, from chapels as part of a new policy restricting religious works because of the presence of Muslim violence in its religious books. The Bible was removed from a Jewish chapel in one Florida prison.

Religious books became suspicious following a university report that warning that Muslim terrorists were using American prisons to spread messages of incitement and violence. The report cited British "shoe bomber" Richard Reid, who became an extremist while in prison.

Three inmates, including one Jew, have filed a suit demanding a reversal in the book ban.
