The Yesha Council joined the voices blasting President Shimon Peres for his divisive statement regarding the need for "getting rid" of Judea and Samaria.

"We wanted to be nonpartisan on the day of the President's swearing-in and remember his success in [building the nuclear facility at] Dimona and not his failure at Oslo," said the Council in it statement.

"It is too bad that the President was the one who decided to open his first day [in office] with a statement that is not only partisan, but also un-Zionist."
