Islamic Jihad took credit on Thursday night for a failed terrorist attack near Tul Karem that left one terrorist dead. The terrorist was identified as 23-year-old Mohammed Ziad.
Spokesmen for the group explained that Ziad was supposed to shoot soldiers at a nearby checkpoint as revenge for the killing of two Islamic Jihad terrorists near Jenin earlier in the week. Instead, soldiers fired back and Ziad was killed instantly. No soldiers were wounded in the attack.
